On 13th November 1932, O'Brien was told by James Kealan that the latter was related to James Connolly, who was born in Curren, Scotshouse, Co Monaghan, 2 miles from Clones. A note on the card reads "See note in 1923 diary re family of James Connolly as told to me by Mrs Connolly".
