Summary:O'Flaherty notes that Frank P. Walsh has been retained as Larkin's defence attorney, and asks Foran to send a copy of Larkin's birth certificate in order to dispel "capitalist" rumours that he was born in Liverpool, writing "Of course his place of birth does not matter to intelligent human beings but we are not dealing with intelligent human beings" [Larkin was, indeed, born in Liverpool].
