In this letter Patrick McCartan states "if [Shane] Leslie or any other Irisman help to substantiate the charges against Casement, Maloney will have a lot more to say. Other who will say nothing may act. Some of the men involved in shocking Wilson on his own door step are yet alive and they will get all the facts from me".
