Copy-letter from M.J. O'Leary, assistant secretary of the Socialist Party of Ireland, to William O'Brien announcing that he and Cathal O'Shannon have been expelled from the Party,
1921 October 18.
|Main Creator:||O'Leary, M.J.|
O'Leary writes that O'Brien and O'Shannon are expelled as due to "reformism", poor attendance, and "consistent attempts to render futile all efforts to build up a Communist Party in Ireland". On the verso, O'Brien has inscribed "Changed to Communist Party of Ireland fourteen days later Oct 28th 1921".
