Repeal of the union: great meeting at Ballina. A meeting of the inhabitants of Ballina and the surrounding districts, will be held in the town of Ballina on Sunday, 19th February inst. at one o'clock, for the purpose of petitioning parliament for a repeal of that most unjust and destructive measure, the legislative union; and also to make arrangements for enrolling the people as repealers, and thereby prove to the world, that the inhabitants of the county of Mayo are determined to furnish their quota of repealers to the number required by the liberator [Daniel O'Connell]. God save the Queen. Hurrah! Hurrah for repeal and O'Connell!!
