| Summary: | The play is dedicated to those who fought and died in the Easter Rising 1916 while incorporating various figures from Irish mythology and folklore. Brennan admires the patriotism of the play but says it would be too difficult to produce remarking that "the attempt to materialise the spiritual bond which undoubtedly exists between the leaders of our race from generation to generation is a very difficult operation". |
