Description: Mrs. Margaret Pearse refers to her sons as "Padhraic and Liam" and remarks "My dear boys always held they would not be slaves and now their devoted and dearly beloved mother is expected to be a slave in her own home...I am here now counted on only as a housekeeper and not even treated as such". Frank Burke became headmaster of St. Enda's in April 1920.
