Description: Connolly refers to his efforts rebuilding the cottage after its destrcution in 1921 by British forces and Margaret Pearse's unwillingness to allow him to re-let the cottage and remarks "I have paid dearly for sentiment and Mrs. Pearse has got her share". Connolly suggests new terms to the lease but mentions "I will close the matter, but I cannot take deferred payment in promissory notes or otherwise".
