| Summary: | Highly decorative colour chromolithograph poster in the form of an illuminated address commemorating the anniversary of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland in July 1840. It features images of Rosemary Street Presbyterian Church, Belfast [at top, with images of Presbyterian clergymen in roundels, some surrounded by springs of shamrock]; an image of May Street Church, Belfast [on left] and Linenhall Street Church Belfast [on right] in a 'frame' of interlacing that surrounds portraits of the twenty-five "Surviving fathers of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, 1890" ["The Portraits are those of the Ministers who, living in the Jubilee Year, 1890 were present at the Union of the Two Synods in 1840"]. Included are facsimilies copies of the signatures of the twenty-five men. |
