Murphy's statement describes the brutality of the raids on his home in 1922 and the intentions of the troops to murder his son, to William O'Brien. William O'Brien writes to the Prionsers Dept. at Portobello Barracks asing for information regarding the wellbeing of Margaret Whitty at the behest of her father John Whitty, following a letter he received from Margaret explaining she had been wounded on the 16th March 1923.
