Summary:Item 1 Reynolds writes to Freyer, enclosing what he describes as 'two last splashes of gaiety before we all get bombed to hell, or whatever is going to come to us'. He mentions that the New Statesman refused his essay on casuistical verse, and says it ought rightly be dedicated to Freyer himself. He mentions that his wife, Ethel, will go to Connemara in the summer, but he 'must scrape a living'. He gives his good wishes to 'dear, beautiful Bridie'.


Item 2 Autograph fair copy of a poem entitled 'Lines written in a Fleet Street pub' and signed 'R.R.'.

Item 3 A two-page typescript document,signed, entitled 'Casuistical Verse'. Reynolds signed the end and added his address '53 Cleveland Square London W.2.'.
