Summary: | One of the letters is addressed to a newspaper editor (the London Times). McGarrity mentions the war correspondent "Richard Harding Davis" and his coverage of the bombing of the Rheims Cathedral and of Louvain before stating that "there are no Irish temples, works of art, histories and shrines for the Irish vote to protect" as they belong to "the land of Titus Oates or Rudyard Kipling" since the time the English "were burning Joan of Arc". The second letter is addressed to Roger Casement informing him that a "manifesto" was issued from Atlantic City. |
