Summary:Documents relating to the poet Padraic Colum by actress Maire Nic Shiubhlaigh and by members of Nic Shiubhlaigh's family. Included is the printed text of an introductory address delivered by Prof. Jeremiah J. Hogan at a meeting of the National University of Ireland on the life and work of Colum (1951) and a memoriam card for Padraic Colum, containing tributes by Micheal Mac Liammoir and Benedict Kiely and Colum's poem 'The XIV Station of the Cross'.


Also included is a typescript copy of Colum's poem 'The Stag' and a fair copy manuscript transcription of an untitled poem, signed by J.P. Collumb, the first lines of which are 'I wish I could add to your store/ of tender and happy thoughts'.
