Letter is possibly to James Mac Guinness or William J. Bradley from Liam Pedlar. Sender details his associations with Clan-na-Gael and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the possibility of gaining the confidence of the leaders of Irish American societies. He mentions Joseph McGarrity and Luke Dillon as senior members of Clan-na-Gael.

Envelope addressed to: "Mr. William Pedlar, 1439 South St, Philadelphia, Pa.". Other letters within MS 17,482 suggest that the sender would enclose a self-addressed envelope as standard proceedure.
