Description: Letter is in unknown hand and reads "just a wee note to say that I have been tried by Courtmartial and sentenced to be shot - to die the death of a soldier", bids farewell to his family, encourages them to insist on the learning of Irish history and language and also states " I die that the Irish nation may live".
