Description: Letter is in unknown hand and reads "just a wee note to say that I have been tried by Courtmartial [sic] and sentenced to be shot - to die the death of a soldier", bids farewell to his family, encourages them to insist on the learning of Irish history and language and also states "I die that the Irish nation may live". Includes partial annotation on verso of last page " Phone M Meehan... 93315)".
