Description: Begins with a discussion on the work of Cumann na bPíobairí in preserving and promoting Irish music and dance, citing the uptake of tutors and pupils and the popularity of piping competitions as factors of their success. Note is made of financial difficulties faced by an Cumann and other groups in collecting subscriptions and raising funds, noting their main expenditure as the payment of teachers and rent. Also mentioned are the resignation of Éamonn Ceannt as secretary; a grant application to the Dublin Corporation; the success of the pipes, dancing and singing classes and discontinuation of the fiddle class; and an Cumann's success at various competitions. On the last page verso are manuscript notes on a Committee vote.
