| Summary: | O'Casey tells McCarthy that, although he has had a few bouts of sickness, he is busy on a documentary on the Queen's Theatre, Dublin, working with Barry Fitzgerald, whom he describes as 'rather frail'. He says there were 14 people in the house, including men with cameras, sound boxes etc. and also some friends of his and Fitzgerald's, one of whom was the Parish Priest of Totnes, a Fr. Ned, whose name suggested the title of his play. He is not very satisfied with his contribution to the film, however. He says his wife, Eileen, is delighted to have met McCarthy. In his postscript he asks if she ever heard of a Bulletin published by the Convent of the Incarnate Word, which a nun in Tipperary sends him. |
