He says he is nursing a sore foot, and misses being able to walk around St. Marychurch; he gives some of the history of Torquay and Torre Abbey, whose ruins still stand. He hopes that the producers of his play 'Red Roses for me' will find another theatre; and says he hopes McCarthy has done the right thing in resigning from her job.
