Description: This series contains the Labour Party materials concerning recruitment and retention of members of the organisation. It includes: various editions and drafts of the introduction manual for new members entitled, ‘Welcome to Labour’; memberships forms; a copy of ‘Socialism Made Easy’ reprinted by the Labour Party for new members; recruitment guides; new member surveys; bound volume containing 'applications for membership' spanning 1971-1991; and correspondence relating to draft recruitment leaflets. Also includes the programme, correspondence and text of speeches delivered at a one day recruitment conference in Waterford entitled ‘Bringing the Party to the People’, dated 12-14 Apr 1988.
