Summary:	Seán O'Hegarty was the former O/C of Cork No. 1 Brigade. He outlines Fred Cronin's case for improvement of his pension, in advance of a meeting with a Government minister. Includes a notable endorsement of Cronin's character and record "When there were not 20 men in Cork city of advanced national thought, Cronin was one of those. He was a pioneer in the Cork Celtic Literary Society, an early student of the language and a worker in the Gaelic League, a worker and reformer in the G.A.A., an active member of Sinn Fein, and a volunteer who gave valuable services at all times. His personal character is of the very highest."
