Notes:The organisation was founded on 30 Jul 1971 and was initially known as the ‘Women’s Advisory Committee’. It was later renamed the Labour Women’s National Council (LWNC) in 1974 and finally to Labour Women in 2001. All female members of the Labour Party are automatically enrolled as members of the organisation.
