| Summary: | Mary Farrell is a friend of Patrick Moran from Dun Laoghaire. The Farrell family had a dairy where Patrick Moran used to work before he was arrested. One of the Farrell girls, Bea (B) was his girlfriend. He writes "I would feel down enough here if I weren't quite at ease about myself. I understand that I am not here for trial but for a further identification test. I was questioned about a little street in Dublin Upr. Mount Street that I haven't stood in for at least two years and they didn't ask me for my statement which would prove it an impossibility for me [to] be there at the hour. The partial identification broke down but the suspicion was enough to get me sent on here [Kilmainham Jail]. Looks like being a very Happy Xmas though if they hurry matters up, I might still be free then". |
