Description: Included are letters from the Abbé André Morellet, the natural scientist Joseph Banks (dated 5 Feb 1783), in which he refers to Edgeworth having sent him clothing found in a peat bog and cloth manufacture in Ireland, from James Leigh-Perrot (dated 9 Dec. 1795) concerning his discussions with Edgeworth on a system of signalling messages, from James Hall, geologist, concerning his pyrometric experiments (dated 28 Sept. 1805),and Sir Humphry Davy (26 Nov. 1810) concerning soil strata, with particular reference to peat bogs.

Also included correspondence between Edgeworth to the inventor William Strutt, in which Edgeworth refers to a report published by the Dublin Society concerning a series of experiments he undertook (May 1815).
