Notes:Sarah Tighe (1743-1820) was the only child and heiress of Sir William Fownes and Lady Elizabeth Fownes (née Ponsonby) of Woodstock, Co. Kilkenny. In 1765 she married William Tighe (1738-1782) of Rossana, Co. Wicklow, with whom she had five children. She was an early supporter of the Methodist movement in Ireland and the cleric John Wesley was a visitor to her home.
