Summary: | Undated letters from Tighe, written from England and Rossana, Co. Wicklow. In a letter written from Clifton, Bristol, she describes a visit made with her mother to the home of poet Hannah More; she also makes reference to her continuing ill health - 'I am not better, nor I fear shall I ever again know perfect health'. Also included is a letter, written 'Thursday morning' in she refers to visiting the home of poet Sir Philip Sydney in Penshurst Place, Kent. An incomplete letter, written from Devon, which concerns social engagements in Exeter and Exmouth, concludes in verse. In a fragment of a letter Tighe requests that [Caroline Tighe] give 'my love to the Spilsburys' - possible the family of Caroline Tighe's art teacher John Ingo Spilsbury. |
