Notes: | The Eblana Collection consists of glass negatives acquired and distributed by William Lawrence, but not created by the firm. Research by our Flickr Commons users established that this was taken shortly after ca. August 1882, when the monument was almost complete, but before ca. August 1883 when the four winged 'victories' were added to the base. The four figures represented Daniel O'Connell's virtues – patriotism, fidelity, courage, and eloquence.
