These drafts were sent by Seamus Heaney to Bernard and Jane McCabe, prior to their publication. The draft of 'Remembered Columns' also contains a manuscript note from Heaney to the McCabes, dated 19 April 1995, in which he writes of sending them 'The heap of poems that are the next book's foundations'.
