Notes: | Addressed to "Madame Lemercier / 40 Rue Lauriston / Paris". Postmark "Paris, Pl. Victor Hugo", dated 19 September [19]14. The discrepancy between the date of writing and the postmark is due to the fact that the item is the "reply" part of a 2 part detachable "doublecard". The general military post office was in Paris.
