Summary: | Writes, "In consequence of Mr. Grattan postponing the Catholic Question to such a distant day, I have been obliged to put off the Window Tax till the 20th or 22nd April as the Irish members will not be over before, it has been a great inconvenience to me as if it was over I would have returned at Easter...but every one said it wouldbe bad treatment of the Irish o bring them over for it alone". |
