Summary: | A collection of short autograph letters from Jack B. Yeats to Captain H. Neville Roberts, predominantly at the address "48 Grafton Street, Dublin". The letters concern visits, health matters, their respective paintings and writings, and greetings over the festive period. One letter, dated 5th January 1949, mentions the death of Lily Yeats. An invitation to an exhibition of Yeats' paintings is included (dated September-October? 1951)as well as a hand-drawn Christmas card by Yeats, dated 8th January 1953. All the letters include their original envelopes; one envelope survives sans letter. |
