| Summary: | Invitation [sent to Joseph Holloway] to an exhibition of paintings on glass etc. by Marion King (1897-1963), open January 11 - 23, 1937; includes handwritten signature of J. Holloway. "Subjects include Hero Tales of Ancient Ireland, Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, Chinese Mythology". Marion King authored and illustrated children's books with text in Irish and was also invovled in broadcasting programmes on Radio Éireann such as 'Drawing and Painting with Marion King' which began in 1943 and ‘Art Adventures’. 'Sean Bunny', her cartoon strip published in 'The Irish Times' began in 1953 and continued until her death in 1963. |
