| Summary: | Manuscript documents, written in secretarial hand, with abstracts of the patent letters instructing Blount on his duties as Lord Deputy of Ireland. One of these gives instructions on the leasing of Her Majesty's lands and was issued by several officials appointed to Queen Elizabeth: George Carey (d. 1617) Treasurer at War; Robert Napier (d. 1615) Chief Baron of the Exchequer in Ireland; and Geoffrey Fenton (1539-1608) Secretary of State in Ireland. Another abstract concerns the recovery of Her Majesty's lands in Ireland.
