Summary:A letter from Tyrconnell concerning dispute over the election of a person as Surveyor and Comptroller of the Ordnance. He accepts to pass a patent for the promotion of John Gyles and Francis Powie to the posts, but notes that the current Surveyor/Comptroller Albert Cunningham, and another man named Clark, have patents to the same effect. He concludes, "I thought it fitt for me to lett your Lords know what I find relating to the present state of those offices but I shall however proceed in doing my part pursuant to his Majesty's commands..."
