In Collection: Pearse Papers, 1870-1932
Description: Writes: "I do not wish to intrude in such a sorrow as has fallen to the lot of few women, but I want you to have my name as one who is feeling deeply for you, and who regrets more than words can say the deaths of your two sons ... Their work in Ireland still goes on - more spiritual, and free from the blemishes which attach to all works of men here ... And their memory will be enshrined in hearts of thousands, and their names recorded among the noble dead of Ireland."
