Summary:Legal papers mainly concerning the claims of William Lombard as an 'innocent papist' under the acts of settlement and explanation. Includes a decree of the commissioners of the court of claims as well as the opinion of Theobald Butler on the decree of innocency of William Lombard [1688]. Also contains a certificate stating that William Lombard was a captain in King James' army, a list of James Lombard's estate in 1641, a certificate stating that William Lombard was comprehended under the articles of Limerick and other legal papers relating to the claims of William Lombard of his father's estate, including an inquisition held at the tholsel in Cork on the 3 August 1683.
