The very material change in the circumstance of St. Mary's Parish, by the removal of many of the opulent, and the considerable encrease of indigent inhabitants, having lessened the power to relieve, and greatly added to the number of destitute children :
the governors of the charity school in that parish have much reason to fear, that they will not be able ... to maintain, any longer this excellent institution ... you are therefore most respectfully entreated to attend, or send your charitable contribution to St. Mary's Church, on Sunday, 30th [January 1803] ... when a sermon will be preached by the Rev. Thomas Hawkesworth, A.M. ...
