Collection: Autograph letters signed collection, ca. 1603-ca. 1972 >> Letter from James Nugent to [James Aloysius Cullen?], thanking him...
Letter from James Nugent to [James Aloysius Cullen?], thanking him for his invitation to visit Dublin and stating that although he could not come this year, next year he would be "glad to do anything in my power to further your work in Dublin",
1879 Aug. 17.
|Main Creator:||Nugent, James, 1822-1905|
Letter on headed paper, "Catholic Total Abstinence League".
Note inside letter mistakenly identifies Cardinal Cullen as the recipient of letter. Cardinal Cullen died in 1878. It seems likely from the contents of the letter that it was addressed to the priest and temperance reformer, James Aloysius Cullen.
