To the right honourable and honourable, the knights, citizens and burgesses of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in Parliament assembled : the peitition of the undersigned Protestant noblemen, and the humble petition of the undersigned Protestant gentlemen, clergy, freeholders and inhabitants, of the County of Kildare sheweth, that ... your petitioners do therefore implore ... to preserve the constitution as established at the revolution, Protestant in Church and State and that the laws by which the Roman Catholics are excluded from power, not be repealed".
