Docket title: "Assessment levied by the city grand jury for public purposes at the last Summer Assizes commencing 22nd August, 1808...". With manuscript note in an unknown hand at top of first page: "This is in itself a paper of little moment but I have preserv'd it as a curiousity to shew our local Grand Jury [...?] at this period".
