Description: Writes about how he joined the Irish Volunteers in Limerick, his involvement in the War of Independence, his appointment as O/C in Limerick by Adjutant General Gearoid O'Sullivan which he refused because he was Anti-Treaty, his involvement in the destruction of the Ordnance Barrack in Limerick, being wounded during the Civil War, and his poor health since then. Probably written seeking assistance of some sort as he is unemployed.
