Licence to keep arms and abstract of duties.
At top of sheet: "Schedule B., 6 & 7 Vic., Cp. 74 Sec 3" - refers to the act for a licence to have arms and an abstract of the duties and obligations required of people licenced to keep arms. Dated on 29th March 1844. First lines read: "This is to certify that at a Court of General Sessions of the Peace held at Monaghan in and for the County of Monaghan William Nesbitt of Drumshannon ... Barony of Dantrey and County of Monaghan was this day licensed to keep at Drumshannon aforesaid the following arms which are to be marked with the number 5319 and with the letters ... Given at the General Sessions of the Peace of Monaghan this 29th day of March 1844 ..." .
