Summary:Satirical "reprints" of letters, circa early 1800's, said to be between various anonymous individuals with reference being made to such topics as the Apprentice Boys of Derry, the 1798 Rebellion, the 1797 Mutiny of the Fleet, the 1785 Commercial Proposition Bill put forward in the House of Commons by Thomas Orde, the Constitution of Ireland and politicians such as William Brabazon Ponsonby and Henry Flood. Opening line of first letter reads: 'Dear Alderman, Did you see my address? Wrote it myself in two minutes and an half, 'pon honour - S-mp-n wanted to alter it, but I wouldn't let him ; wou'd have none of his bombastical trash ... I am your's sincerely, S.L. P.S. Send some more Brutus's thro' the county. Colerain, Saturday night.'
