Copy of last letter from Michael Mallin to his parents, John and Sarah Mallin, written from Kilmainham Jail on the eve of his execution,

Mallin asks his parents to forgive him for his shortcomings, particularly in relation to his father's business, and for the pain he gives them. He states that he "tried with others to make Ireland a free nation and failed, others failed before us and paid the price and so must we". He asks his parents to give his love to various individuals and states that he forgives "all who may have done me harm".
