Summary:19th century Irish satirical broadside. Disturbances often occurred on William III's birthday during the decoration of his monument in College Green; at the request of Lord Mayor Richard Colley Wellesley, 2nd Earl of Mornington and Marquess, the decoration of the statue was prohibited in 1822. A riot followed and troops were called out. Many 'Orange' broadsides and prints were issued attacking the Lord Lieutenant.
