At top of sheet is a wax seal featuring the impression of George IV and royal coat of arms [at head]. Border printed in green ink. Copy of the contents of a letter from Viscount Sidmouth to Earl Talbot [Lord Lieutenant of Ireland] expressing gratitude on behalf of George IV for the preparations made prior to and during his visit to Ireland in 1821. Extract from text reads: "The time of the King's departure from Ireland being arrived, I am commanded by His Majesty to express his entire approbation of the manner in which all persons acting in civil and military situations, in the city of Dublin and its neighbourhood, have performed their several duties...".
