Broadside concerning the outcome of the Battle of Salamanca which saw the Anglo-Portuguese army under the Duke of Wellington defeat Marshal Auguste Marmont's French forces around the Arapiles south of Salamanca, Spain on 22 July 1812. Lower half of sheet refers to the 'Order of the day' Oporto, 30 July 1812 which announced the defeat of Marshal Auguste Marmont's French forces on 22 July, 1812, details the loss of life and refers at the bottom of the sheet to the fact that "General Beresford was severly wounded, but not dangerously".
