Lower half of sheet refers to the 'Order of the day' Oporto, 30 July 1812 which announced the defeat of Marshal Auguste Marmont's French forces on 22 July, 1812, details the loss of life and refers at the bottom of the sheet to the fact that "General Beresford was severly wounded, but not dangerously".
