To the honorable the knights, citizens, and burgesses of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, in Parliament assembled the humble petition of the undersigned proprietors of newspapers, in that part of the United Kingdom called Ireland.
Broadside petition refers to doubling of tax on advertising in newspapers in Ireland. Petition by the Irish newspaper trade to re-establish the former rate of tax to be on par with the newspaper trade in England.
