Summary:Refers to an Act under certain limitations and restrictions to increase the Militia in Ireland. At foot of first page: "Precept to inhabitants, &.c. of parishes under Militia Act, 47th Geo. III. Chap.56". "Whereas by an Act passed in the forty-seventh year of the reign of his present Majesty, entitled "An Act, for encreasing the Militia in Ireland, under certain limitations and restrictions", it is among other things enacted, that a general meeting of the Governor or Governors, and Deputy Governors, or of three Deputy Governors... appoint the number of men to be raised for, and by every parish, or other place, which numbers so appointed should be the quota each parish or place shall furnish...". At foot of second page: "Given at his Majesty's Castle of Dublin, 30th day of September 1807. To the inhabitants of the parish of Corbally [Co. Limerick] and the Church-Wardens of said parish".
