Broadside petition [with blank areas, allowing it to be filled in by hand] against the Act of Union - "Humbly sheweth, that at this most awful and alarming moment, we cannot cease to expect from the representatives of the people in Parliament, the preservation of those rights with which they have been intrusted by the Nation. That we rely, with the most unshaken confidence, on the wisdom and justice of this honorable house, that it will maintain, unimpaired to us and to our posterity...". At foot of sheet: "And your petitioners will pray".
